Matthew Donis, a senior at Palmdale Highland High in California, became the first CIF Southern Section Division 1 boys cross country champion in program history at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. Donis covered the 2.93-mile layout in 14:35.0 to advance to the Nov. 26 state final at Woodward Park in Fresno.
